VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Below is a description of some of the volunteer opportunities available at the CAA.  If you are interested in helping or have any questions, please reach out to us at [email protected]

PROGRAM DIRECTORS

For the 2020 season, we are looking for a Baseball and a Softball Program Director.  Please see the attached for a description.

TEAM VOLUNTEERS

Team Volunteers consist of Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Parent Coordinators.  These are the volunteers that manage the team on a day-to-day basis.  Please review the descriptions below and if you are interested in volunteering, please complete the registration.  Completing the free registration adds you to our email list specifically for Team Volunteers and helps the league determine if we have enough volunteers for the number of players each season.

Head Coach (1 per team): Is the single point of contact from a league and district level.  This volunteer is ultimately responsible for the team as a whole.  Your phone number and email address will be listed on the roster and you will be contacted in order to reschedule games, etc.  You will also be primarily responsible for attending pick night and general coaches meetings or sending a delegate for the team.  Other expectations include but are not limited to organizing practices and pregame warm up, serving as a base or dugout coach during games, responsible for team equipment.

Assistant Coach (up to 3 per team): Expectations include assisting during practices by running a station, etc, serving as a base or dugout coach during games, assisting the Team Managers with his/her duties if applicable.

Parent Coordinator (at least 1 per team): Expectations include managing team participation in fundraisers such as Cardinal's ticket orders, raffle programs, concession stand, etc.  Additional expectations may include assisting the Team Manager by communicating schedule changes and make up games, keeping score book, etc.

STATION LEADERS & CAMP HELPERS

Volunteers are also needed to help run our Spring Training camp for 3 and 4 year olds.  All registered volunteers will receive a t-shirt and training for the specific drills you will be teaching the players.  We would like adults or teenagers that can commit to participating in the entirety of the program (be there every week) but will also accept an offer of any number of days.

Camp Coordinator
